Breakdown of federal transfers to provinces next year

OTTAWA – The federal government says its transfers to the provinces and territories will total $67.9 billion next fiscal year, up from $64.8 billion this year. Here is how the money is to be distributed next year, with this year’s figure in brackets.:

Newfoundland and Labrador, $692 million ($676 million).

Prince Edward Island, $554 million ($544 million).

Nova Scotia, $2.93 billion ($2.81 billion).

New Brunswick, $2.66 billion ($2.62 billion).

Quebec, $20.36 billion ($19.61 billion).

Ontario, $20.44 billion ($19.19 billion).

Manitoba, $3.44 billion($3.36 billion).

Saskatchewan, $1.49 billion ($1.41 billion).

Alberta, $5.48 billion ($5.18 billion).

British Columbia, $6.13 billion ($5.82 billion).

Nunavut, $1.50 billion ($1.46 billion).

Northwest Territories, $1.29 billion ($1.26 billion).

Yukon, $923 million ($897 million).
