UPDATE: Trans Canada near Revelstoke reopens following crash

KAMLOOPS – A serious crash closed the Trans Canada between Craigellachie and Revelstoke for most of the day Saturday.

The highway was closed in both directions with eastbound traffic held in Sicamous, according to Drive B.C.

A RCMP collision analyst was called into investigate the cause of the crash. Police have not released any information possible injuries.

Drive B.C. says the route reopened at about 9:31 p.m.

Environment Canada issued a special weather statement warning of heavy snowfall in the mountian passes this weekend.
