Loewen joins Kamloops Blazers for stint

KAMLOOPS – The Kamloops Blazers have added 15-year-old forward Jermaine Loewen to their roster for their stay in Brandon.

Loewen practiced with the hockey club this morning and will be a game time decision for tomorrow night’s game against the Wheat Kings. Following the game, he will be returned to the Interlake Lightning of the Manitoba Midget AAA League.

Loewen was selected by the Blazers in the third round of the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft. He was signed by the Blazers following fall training camp.

In 21 games with the Lightning this season, Loewen has five goals and eight points.
