
Veteran broadcast journalist Henry Champ dies at age 75: CBC
TORONTO – Veteran broadcast journalist Henry Champ has died. He was 75.
The CBC is reporting that Champ’s son says his father died Sunday morning in Washington, D.C.
Champ spent the latter part of his 40-year career as CBC’s Washington correspondent.
He also served as CTV’s Washington and London bureau chief before moving on to NBC, working in Europe and Washington.
Champ, who started his career in Brandon, Man., in 1960, retired in 2008.
The CBC says he is survived by his wife and five children.
