COMPTON, Calif. – The Latest on an accidental shooting involving a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy (all times local):
3:50 p.m.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says a deputy wounded in an accidental shooting is in stable condition.
Officials haven’t released details but say there was an “unintentional discharge” of a gun Tuesday at the Compton station.
The shooting is under investigation.

Los Angeles County authorities say a deputy was wounded when a gun accidentally went off at a sheriff’s station.
Sheriff’s officials say the deputy from the Compton station was hospitalized with a gunshot wound Tuesday afternoon. The deputy’s condition wasn’t immediately known.
The Sheriff’s Department didn’t release details about what it called an “unintentional discharge” of a weapon. The incident is under investigation.
