Coach Tim Burke says Bombers won’t take Toronto backup Jackson lightly
WINNIPEG – The Blue Bombers know they have a better shot at building on their last win with Ricky Ray out of Toronto’s lineup when the Argos visit Winnipeg on Saturday.
But coach Tim Burke and other Bombers say they can’t take backup pivot Jarious Jackson lightly.
Burke says Jackson has experience, a great arm and can run.
Burke says he saw him when he was coaching at Purdue and Jackson was an option quarterback at Notre Dame.
It was a good day for the Bombers, coming off their 34-12 win against Hamilton Friday.
Running back Chad Simpson and linebacker Henoc Muamba were named CFL players of the week.
