KAMLOOPS – An increase of more than 1,700 travelers crossed over the tarmac at Fulton Field this November for a seven per cent jump in monthly travelers over 2012.
The airport has seen steady growth over the year and is averaging four per cent higher in traveler numbers for January through November over last year with a total of more than 260,000 people passing through the gates in the first 11 months of the year.
Commuters heading to Northern B.C. or Alberta for work still lead the increase but the early arrival of good ski conditions at Sun Peaks also helped to boost numbers even higher last month. Cargo activity has also increased heading into the holiday season as delivery of items bought online for gifts increases as well.
