Oshie, Ovechkin and Price named NHL’s three stars of the week

NEW YORK, N.Y. – St. Louis Blues right-wing T.J. Oshie has been named the NHL’s first star of the week.

Oshie had seven points, including a league-leading five goals, over four games last week. He capped that stretch by scoring his second career hat trick and adding an assist in the Blues’ 7-2 win over San Jose on Saturday.

Capitals right-wing Alex Ovechkin was named the second star with three goals and three assists in three games, including a goal and an assist Thursday in Washington’s 3-2 win over Chicago in the 2015 Winter Classic.

Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey price was awarded third star honours after posting a 3-0-0 record with a 1.33 goals-against average and .952 save percentage last week.
