‘Transparent’ wins Golden Globe for TV comedy series

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – “Transparent” has won the Golden Globe for best TV series, musical or comedy.

The sexual identity comedy on Amazon stars Jeffrey Tambor as the patriarch of a Los Angeles family who comes out as a woman.

The other nominees Sunday were: “Girls,” ”Jane the Virgin,” ”Orange Is the New Black,” and “Silicon Valley.”

The 72nd annual Golden Globes are airing live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, with hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
