Golden Globe TV comedy winner ‘Transparent’ coming to Shomi on Jan. 23

TORONTO – This year’s Golden Globe winner for best musical or comedy TV series hasn’t aired in Canada yet but will be available to stream later this month.

“Transparent,” about a Los Angeles-based family with a transgender parent, is coming to Shomi, the streaming service launched last year by Rogers and Shaw.

The series, which debuted on Amazon’s Instant Video streaming service, also picked up a best TV comedy actor nomination for its star Jeffrey Tambor.

Shomi says “Transparent” will start streaming on Jan. 23.
