Police say the death of a B.C. man known to them wasn’t a random act

CHILLIWACK, B.C. – Homicide investigators have identified a man found dead in Chilliwack, B.C.

Police say the victim is 39-year-old Stuart Ellis and is known to them.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says officers don’t believe the death was a random act and there’s no reason for the public to be concerned about safety.

Police were called to a neighbourhood in Chilliwack late last night to investigate what was initially reported as a car crash

The body of the man was found inside a vehicle.

Police say the fatal injuries were inconsistent with the crash and the case was handed over to IHIT investigators.
