VANCOUVER – A portion of the Trans-Canada highway that was closed in southeastern British Columbia has reopened.
A rock slide severed the route between Revelstoke and Golden on Tuesday.
A 147 kilometre stretch of Highway 1 was affected and no alternative route was available.
A notice posted by the online traveller information site DriveBC says the highway was reopened in both directions shortly after noon.
