Jean Chretien stopping by Kelowna Lake Country MP’s office

KELOWNA – Former Prime Minister Jean Chretien will be in Kelowna tomorrow, Sept. 27, for a speaking engagement and he’s making a stop at a local campaign office.

Kelowna Lake Country  MP Stephen Fuhr is expecting the 20th prime minister at his campaign office on Bernard Avenue.

Chretien served three terms as prime minister, from 1993 to 2003.

He was the first prime minister to win three consecutive majority governments since Sir Wilfred Laurier.

The first time Chretien was in Kelowna was in 1967 at the opening of the first commercial winery, Mission Hill.

Other than Chrétien, the Level Up Leadership Conference hosted by The Csek Creative and NowMedia’s Level Up 2019 conference will also bring former prime minister Stephen Harper, along with Darren Hardy, Zahra Al-Harazi, Walter Bond, Cybele Negris and  Lane Merrifield to Kelowna.
