UPDATE: Search continues for missing man near Kelowna
KELOWNA – A 74-year-old man went missing from the James Lake area east of Kelowna yesterday.
Gordon Solloway drove there to sight in his rifle and was supposed to be home by noon, yesterday, Sept. 26. Police were informed when he didn’t return.
Search crews from Central Okanagan Search and Rescue are out on foot and with ATVs and trucks looking for him. A helicopter joined in the search this morning.
He was driving a grey 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck with B.C. license plate HM3670. He is Caucasian, 5'9", 250 lbs., brown hair and blue eyes. He has a medical condition that limits his mobility so he uses a cane.
Kelowna RCMP have video footage of Solloway gassing up his pickup truck on Highway 33 in Rutland, shortly after leaving his home.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
