KELOWNA – The search for Gordon Solloway, who has been missing east of Kelowna since late last week, was called off today, Oct. 1.
RCMP members, and search and rescue teams from Kelowna, Penticton and Vernon, family members, a fixed-wing aircraft from the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association and an RCMP helicopter searched approximately 4,200 square kilometres east of Kelowna, according to a Central Okanagan Search and Rescue media release.
The ground search ranged from Goudie Road to Big White and the McCullough Lake recreational area. The aircraft covered the area from Lavington down to Penticton and over to Beaverdell.
The search will resume if new information comes forward, the release states.
