
Three suspects arrested in industrial park vehicle theft
PENTICTON – Penticton RCMP arrested three people in connection with a stolen truck.
RCMP responded to an overnight report of a break and enter into a compound in Penticton’s industrial area on Sept. 30 around 6 a.m.
Suspects were rummaging through several parked vehicles in an adjacent lot prior to stealing a 2010 Chevy Silverado.
A police dog services officer spotted the stolen truck around 10 a.m. the same morning driving near Green Avenue and Skaha Lake Road.
The vehicle was safely stopped with the assistance of general duty, targeted enforcement unit members and traffic services.
The driver, a 30-year-old man from Penticton, was arrested along with a 29-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman.
Const. James Grandy of the Penticton RCMP said in a press release issued this afternoon, Oct. 1, the driver is facing charges of theft of vehicle and possession of stolen property.
