Sissons four points, Cooke 28 saves as the Rockets blank the Giants 7-0

KELOWNA, B.C. – Colton Sissons scored twice and set up two more as the Kelowna Rockets crushed the visiting Vancouver Giants 7-0 on Wednesday in Western Hockey League action.

Jordon Cooke stopped all 28 shots he faced to pick up his first WHL shutout and the game’s first star.

Madison Bowey had two goals and an assist for the Rockets (2-2-1) while Filip Vasko and Myles Bell each had a goal and an assist.

Tyson Bailie added a single goal to round outt Kelowna’s offence.

John Neibrandt was a team-worst minus-4 for the Giants (1-4-0) while Liam Liston allowed all seven goals against on 27 shots.

Kelowna went 2-for-5 on the power play. Vancouver failed to score on five chances of their own with the man advantage.
