Coroners service says B.C. man died after becoming trapped in very large tire

KAMLOOPS, B.C. – The B.C. Coroners Service says a man who died at his workplace in the province’s Interior became trapped by a very large tire.

Thirty-six-year-old Nicklas Taylor was a foreman at a Fountain Tire facility in Kamloops, B.C.

The service says he was unloading a trailer-load of tires when he somehow became trapped.

He died at the scene.

Fountain Tire vice-president Nelson Tonn has said the company is co-operating with authorities and an internal investigation will be conducted.

WorkSafeBC and the coroners service are also investigating.
