WINNIPEG – HFX Wanderers FC advanced to the next round of the Canadian Championship by edging Valour FC 2-0 on Wednesday in the second leg of their qualifying series between Canadian Premier League sides.
Mohamed Kourouma scored in the 58th minute and Andre Bona added a late, stoppage-time goal as the Wanderers won the second-round qualifying series 4-1 on aggregate.
The Halifax-based team will face the Ottawa Fury in the next round.
HFX beat Valour 2-1 in the first leg in Halifax last week, overcoming a 1-0 deficit against its Winnipeg opponent with two goals in two minutes late in the first half.

EDMONTON — Mele Temguia scored in stoppage time as Edmonton FC eaned a 1-0 win over York9 FC in the second leg of their qualifying series, but still lost on aggregate.
York beat Edmonton 3-1 in the first leg last week to win the series 3-2.
York will face the Montreal Impact in the next round.
