RCMP watchdog report on response to High River, Alta., flooding by the numbers

OTTAWA – The RCMP watchdog issued a report Thursday on the Mounties’ response to flooding in High River, Alta., in June 2013. A look by the numbers:

Homes entered: 4,666.

Forced entries: More than 750.

People discovered in need of help: 38.

Pets rescued: 700.

Firearms removed: 609 from 105 homes.

Marijuana plants seized: From five homes.

Prohibited weapons seized: From one house.

Commission findings: 52.

Commission recommendations: 10.
