Skip the Dishes knows the way to Kamloops’s heart

Skip the Dishes hasn’t been in operation for that long, but in the time they’ve been rolling out delicious hot meals they’ve learned a lot about the people of Kamloops.

In addition having a regular hankering for burgers, there is one thing that 2019 stats show about the region — it likes its Miso soup.

Kamloops

1.     Junior Chicken, with nearly 4,700 Junior Chickens (more than enough to fill 85 per cent of the Sandman Centre.)
2.     Junior Bacon Cheeseburger, with almost 4,000 orders
3.     Miso Soup, with just over 3,000 individual orders

“The biggest single order in Kamloops just over $500 and it included five salmon zen bowls, a bunch of cheesecakes and puddings, and a wide array of rice bowls, salads, and tacos,” they said.

Over in the Okanagan tastes are a little more Asian.

Kelowna

1. Miso soup, with more than 10,100 orders
2. Butter chicken, with nearly 9,500 orders
3. Dynamite rolls, with over 7,500 orders (at six pieces per order… that’s 45,000 individual dynamite rolls!)

“Kelowna’s biggest order was over $575 and had seven baked apple pies, seven rotisserie chickens, five chocolate cakes, and a bunch of other yummy extras,” Skip the Dishes spokesperson said. “Sounds like quite the picnic to us.”

Penticton

1. Butter chicken, at about 4,200 orders
2. Vegetable samosas with nearly 3,200 orders
3. Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers, with more than 1,300 orders

“Penticton’s biggest order wasn’t quite as big as Kelowna’s, but it was still a whopper with over $375 in ribs, dynamite rolls, prawns, and wings,” Skip the Dishes said.

Vernon

1. Butter chicken, with almost 1,400 orders
2. Beef donair, with more than 1,100 orders. With all those donairs, you could put one in every third seat at Kal Tire Place at a Vernon Vipers game and still have a few left over!
3. Dynamite roll, with nearly 1,000 orders. At 6 rolls an order, there’s enough rolls for almost every sixth person in the city!

“The biggest single order in Vernon (so far) was nearly $300, and it included five orders of wontons and a ton of spring rolls,” they said.
