Bill Cosby postpones June performance in Rhode Island until further notice; no reason given

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Bill Cosby has postponed another comedy performance, this time in Rhode Island.

The Providence Performing Arts Center announced in an email Thursday that the June 26 show has been postponed until further notice.

The venue didn’t release a new date for the performance and didn’t give a reason for the postponement. It is refunding ticketholders.

Cosby has cancelled or postponed more than a dozen shows on his comedy tour in the wake of allegations by numerous women that they were sexually abused by the 77-year-old actor-comedian. Many of the accusations fall outside the statute of limitations for criminal prosecution or lawsuits.

Cosby has denied wrongdoing and hasn’t been charged with any crime.
