Rain to begin and end the work week in Kamloops

It looks like the work week will start and end on a rainy note in Kamloops, with sunny skies in between and on the weekend.

Today, Oct. 21, in Kamloops you can expect a 70 per cent chance of showers with winds becoming east at 20 km/h near noon. Today’s high should reach 10 Celsius.

Mainly cloudy skies are expected tonight along with a 70 per cent chance of showers, dropping to 30 per cent this evening, along with east winds at 20 km/h  a low of 6 C.

Tuesday should see a mix of sun and clouds with winds becoming northwest at 30 km/h gusting to 50 near noon. Tuesday’s high should reach 14 C with cloudy periods and a low of 2 C overnight.

Wednesday and Thursday skies are expected to clear with sunny conditions and a high of 11 C Wednesday and 13 C Thursday. Wednesday’s overnight low is expected to reach 3 C and 6 C Thursday.

Rain returns to the city on Friday with a high of 13 C. Clearing skies overnight will bring an expected low of 0 C to Kamloops.

The weekend looks pretty nice at this point with sunny skies for Saturday and Sunday and highs of 11 C and 9 C respectively.

Overnight lows could dip below freezing on the weekend.

Normal temperatures for this time of year in Kamloops are highs of 11 C and lows of 2 C.

I have been looking for news in the South Okanagan - SImilkameen for 20 years, having turned a part time lifelong interest into a full time profession. After five years publishing a local newsletter, several years working as a correspondent / stringer for several local newspapers and seven years as editor of a Similkameen weekly newspaper, I joined iNFOnews.ca in 2014. As an airborne geophysical surveyor I travelled extensively around the globe, conducting helicopter borne mineral surveys.

As a member of the Kaleden community, I have been involved in the Kaleden Volunteer Fire Department for 22 years, and also serve as a trustee on the Kaleden Irrigation District board.
I am currently married to my wife Judy, of 26 years. We are empty-nesters who enjoy living in Kaleden with our Welsh Terrier, Angus, and cat, Tibbs.
