CBC launches drama series “New Address,” adapted from Quebec hit

TORONTO – CBC-TV has announced the production of “New Address,” a new drama series set to debut this fall.

Adapted from the Quebec show “Nouvelle Adresse,” the drama will begin production in Montreal this summer.

The show revolves around a Montreal journalist and single mother who must help her children prepare for the future after receiving a fatal cancer diagnosis.

In a press release, CBC called their latest production a “funny, honest, heartfelt” series about a “close-knit, charmingly imperfect” family.

The show will be produced by Montreal’s Sphere Media Plus, the company behind shows including “Sophie,” “19-2” and “Bad Karma.”
