REGINA – The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Regina Pats 5-4 in overtime on Saturday night in Regina, extending its Western Hockey League winning streak to 10 games.
For the second straight game veteran Myles Bell scored the overtime winner as the Rockets again clawed its way from behind to improve to 26-3-0-2 on the season.
Mitch Wheaton, Zach Franko, Ryan Olsen and Tyson Baillie also scored for Kelowna, who trailed 2-0, 3-2, and 4-3 before Baillie, who added three assists, tied the game 4-4 late in the second period.
A scoreless third set the stage for Bell's winner, his 15th of the season.
The Rockets have now won the first four games of its six game Eastern road swing, 10 straight overall, 19 of its past 20 games and 11 straight road games to sit first overall in the WHL.
Jordon Cooke recorded the win in net for Kelowna.
The Rockets continue its road trip on Sunday in Prince Albert and will close out its pre-Christmas schedule on Tuesday in Saskatoon.
Kelowna's next home game is Dec. 27 against Kamloops.
