From Oscar Oscar to Author Author: Julianne Moore to be interviewed at second annual BookCon

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Oscar winner Julianne Moore will be in the house this May for the second annual BookCon gathering in Manhattan.

Author of the “Freckleface Strawberry” picture book series, Moore will be interviewed May 31 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center by Brian Selznick, who also has some history with the Academy Awards. His acclaimed “The Invention of Hugo Cabret” was adapted by Martin Scorsese into the Oscar-winning “Hugo.” Moore picked up a best-actress award last weekend for playing a college professor with early onset Alzheimer’s disease in “Still Alice.”

BookCon, a pop culture spin-off of BookExpo America, will also feature appearances by authors Sherman Alexie, Meg Cabot and Jacqueline Woodson.
