Second teenager dies after weekend pickup crash near Williams Lake

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. – A second teenager has died after a crash on Highway 20 near Williams Lake, B.C.

The BC Coroners Service says it's now investigating the deaths of two females when a pickup rolled onto its roof on Saturday.

Police said after the crash that one victim died at the scene and four others were taken to hospital with significant injuries.

The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, when police say the vehicle veered off the highway and overturned.

A cause remains under investigation and officers are trying to determine if alcohol was a factor.
