Mounties say two men stabbed during overnight altercation in Surrey, B.C.

SURREY, B.C. – Police are searching for a suspect after two men were stabbed in Surrey, B.C.

RCMP say they responded to multiple calls about an injured and bleeding man in the middle of the night Tuesday.

Officers say they arrived on scene after midnight to find two men, one of whom had visible a stab wound to his leg.

The men told police they were in an altercation with a young man who had run away in an unknown direction.

Police say the second man on scene initially claimed to be unhurt, but paramedics later discovered he had been stabbed in the side.

Both men were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and Mounties are now looking for a suspect and witnesses.
