Snoopy and the Peanuts gang to join TIFF Kids International Film Festival

TORONTO – A new claymation film from the “Wallace & Gromit” team and a visit from Snoopy and the Peanuts gang are among the highlights of this year’s TIFF Kids International Film Festival.

Aardman Studios’ film “Shaun the Sheep: The Movie” launches on April 10, and festivities wrap April 18 with “When Marnie Was There,” from the Japanese animation house Studio Ghibli.

Meanwhile, photos are encouraged at a meet-and-greet with characters from Charles Schulz’s beloved comics on April 11 and 12, including Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Sally, Linus, and Lucy.

The fest will also feature a collection of new animated shorts in celebration of Peanuts’ 65th anniversary.

The TIFF Kids International Film Festival, for children aged three through 13, runs April 7 to April 19.

This year it unspools 25 features and 101 shorts from 36 countries, including Australia, Germany, the Netherlands, Japan, France, India and Russia.
