FALL RIVER, Mass. – The Massachusetts murder trial of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez is back underway after the judge received a note from a juror.
Hernandez is charged with murder in the June 2013 killing of Odin Lloyd, who was dating the sister of Hernandez’s fiancee. Lloyd’s body was found in an industrial park near Hernandez’s home.
Superior Court Judge Susan Garsh began Friday’s session by calling prosecutors, the defence and Hernandez up to the bench for a sidebar conference. She mentioned she received a note, but did not announce its contents.
After a 15-minute sidebar, the judge called the 16 jurors back in with no explanation.
Testimony then resumed with a T-Mobile engineer, who went over records of Lloyd’s cellphone.
