TORONTO – Some of the most active companies traded Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (14,854.49, down 98.01 points):

Ram Power, Corp. (TSX:RPG). Unchanged at half-a-cent on 9.7 million shares.

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Aerospace and transportation. Up six cents, or 2.58 per cent, to $2.39 on 7.8 million shares.

Algonquin Power and Utilities Corp. (TSX:AQN). Utilities. Down 80 cents, or 8.57 per cent, to $8.54 on 5.3 million shares.

Torex Gold Resources Inc. (TSX:TXG). Miner. Down 13 cents, or 12.04 per cent, to 95 cents on 5.1 million shares.

Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. (TSX:PRE). Oil and gas. Down 33 cents, or 9.57 per cent, to $3.12 on 4.5 million shares.

BlackBerry Ltd. (TSX:BB). Communication equipment. Down $1.00, or 7.44 per cent, to $12.44 on 4.2 million shares.

Companies reporting major news:

Canadian National Railway (TSX:CNR). Transportation. Down 92 cents, or 1.07 per cent, to $84.74 on 1.1 million shares. Shipments by rail are under increased scrutiny after one of the company’s trains derailed during the weekend about 80 kilometres south of Timmins, Ont. Several tank cars carrying crude oil caught fire and some cars fell into a river.

Loblaw Companies Ltd. (TSX:L). Retail. Up two cents, or 0.03 per cent, to $61.54 on 497,277 shares. The grocer says it will spend at least $1.2 billion on a number of initiatives, including the building of 50 new stores and more investments in its e-commerce offering, supply chain and IT infrastructure. Its shares inched up two cents to $61.54.
