Air Canada signs codeshare deal with Brazil’s GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes

MONTREAL – Air Canada has signed a codeshare agreement with Brazil’s GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes that will make it easier for travellers to connect through the two airlines’ networks.

The agreement expands an interline agreement that allows travellers to make a single reservation for flights on both airlines.

Under the codeshare agreement, Air Canada (TSX:AC) will also be able to include its code on flights operated by GOL.

The deal includes a frequent flyer program agreement that will allow members the ability to earn and redeem miles on eligible flights operated by the two airlines.

The agreement requires approval by Brazilian and Canadian regulators.
