Two Vancouver Island men face child porn charges in separate cases: RCMP

PARKSVILLE, B.C. – Mounties are recommending child pornography charges against two men on Vancouver Island.

Cpl. Jesse Foreman says a 54-year-old man from Parksville and a 42-year-old resident of Qualicum Beach were arrested after police searched their homes.

He says search warrants were executed because investigators suspected both men had child pornography on their computers.

Foreman says RCMP are recommending charges of possession of child pornography and intent to distribute child porn against the man from Parkville.

He says that in the case of the Qualicum Beach resident, police are recommending charges of possession of child pornography, unsafe storage of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance.

Foreman says the two incidents are unrelated and both men have been released on conditions until scheduled court appearances in June. (CKAY)
