B.C. SPCA cutting adoption fees for one day only
A B.C. SPCA promotion is providing a great opportunity for animal lovers to adopt a pet.
The one-day Fall Head Over Tails in Love event on Saturday, Nov. 9, offers the chance to adopt a pet at a reduced fee.
The province-wide promotion includes cats, dogs, kittens, puppies, rats and guinea pigs, and offers 50 per cent off the regular adoption fee and B.C. pet registry fee. Adoption discounts for farm animals will be decided on a case by case basis, according to a B.C. SPCA media release.
“The adoption event was such a success last year that each of our 36 adoption facilities is eager to find loving homes for animals in our care,” B.C. SPCA chief operations officer Mark Takhar said in the release.
Hills Pet Nutrition is partnering with the SPCA for the event.
Last year, the SPCA found homes for more than 14,000 animals, with 212 adopted during the society’s first Fall Head Over Tails event in 2018.
