KELOWNA – The Kelowna Chiefs rallied in the third period to defeat the North Okanagan Knights Sunday evening.
Coming off a 7 – 0 shutout loss to Spokane on Saturday, the Chiefs defeated the Knights 5 – 3 at Rutland Arena.
North Okanagan took control 40 seconds into the match-up when TJ Christensen was able to sneak one past Tyler O’Donnell on the first shot of the game.
Kelowna didn’t give up with Brady Mende (2G, 1A) scoring at 8:11 with Nicholas Gnazdowsky adding the assist.
The teams were tied 3 – 3 heading into the final period when Kelowna took advantage of the power plays. Matt Naka (1G, 1A) added a goal at 8:48 with the man advantage followed by Adam Beatty at 2:07.

The victory puts an end to the Kelowna Chiefs three game-losing streak. The Chiefs will hit the road for a couple of games before the Christmas break, first stop being Princeton on Friday December 20th and then Summerland on Saturday December 21st.
