RCMP looking for your help to identify a Merritt robbery suspect

RCMP have released photos of a suspect captured on video allegedly stealing from a Merritt area business in an effort to identity the man.

"RCMP across multiple jurisdiction in the B.C. southern Interior are sharing information with one another as investigators continue their efforts to both locate a suspect vehicle and advance their investigations into multiple crimes," RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jesse O'Donaghey says in a media release 

The person of interest is a Caucasian man, in his mid-20s to mid-30s, about 5'6" tall with a medium build, brown hair, some facial hair and a chipped right upper tooth. He was seen leaving the business wearing jeans, a two-tone grey and black jacket, a black baseball cap with a white diamond shaped logo and a sticker still attached to the outer brim.

West Kelowna police also have an image of the suspect's red Dodge Ram D-150 extended cab pickup truck that was seen in a West Kelowna parking lot.

RCMP do not name the Merritt business that was robbed or say when it happened.

"I’d like to remind the general public not to approach the suspect vehicle or any of its occupants if spotted in your community," O'Donaghey says. "We continue to recommend the public immediately call their local police or 911 if necessary."
