Okanagan, Kamloops, mark Remembrance Day
Every year, at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month, Canadians pause.
A moment of silence ensues. For those two minutes, all is quiet as Canadians pay homage to those who gave their lives in the line of duty.
In Vernon, thousands gathered at Kal Tire Place for the annual Remembrance Day ceremony. The song of the pipes filled the air as the ceremony got underway.

In Kamloops, people gathered at Riverside Park to pay their respects.
In Kelowna, they gather at the Cenotaph in City Park.
In Penticton, it's the Veterans Memorial Park.
Regardless of where, at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 every year, Canadians remember.
