
Penticton RCMP seeking public input to find suspect in poppy box thief
Penticton RCMP are investigating after a poppy box was stolen from a Penticton grocery store last week.
A man walked into Penticton Safeway on Nov. 10 around 4:30 p.m. and stole a poppy box full of donations after it was left temporarily unattended.
Police spokesperson Const. James Grandy said in a press release issued today, Nov. 20, video surveillance has been obtained and police are hoping the public can help identify the suspect.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Const. Ritcey of the Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300, quoting file 2019-19786, or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
