Hall-of-famer Maestro Fresh Wes to rock Vernon

Hip hop hall-of-famer Wes Williams, better known as Maestro Fresh Wes, is making his return to the Okanagan.

According to Vernon's Status Nightclub, William's 1989 hit Let Your Backbone Slide was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters' Hall of Fame Thursday, Nov. 21 at a ceremony in Toronto.

Maestro Fresh Wes will perform at Status Nightclub to mark owner Saverio Loria's 60th birthday Saturday, Nov. 30, the club said.

Doors open at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door.
