What Vernon can expect from city plows Wednesday

VERNON –  City of Vernon road crews expect to have all residential roads and cul-de-sacs plowed by mid-morning Wednesday.

After that, they will begin plowing and sanding all areas of the city, communications coordinator Tanya Laing Gahr said in a release.

Snow removal will continue on 27 Street until noon Wednesday.

Late Tuesday night, crews started removing snow from the downtown core. Snow removal in the downtown core, 32 Street, 27 Street and 48 Avenue will continue for the rest of the week.

“Motorists are advised to slow down and use caution near snow removal equipment,” Laing Gahr said.

Meanwhile, Vernon’s bus schedules are returning to normal. All routes, except #4 – East Hill, are operating and running on the regular routes and following the normal schedule. The #4 route will return to normal operating schedule following snow removal and sanding, which is anticipated to be completed by late Wednesday morning.
