Three people, two pets homeless after West Kelowna fire

WEST KELOWNA – Three people and two animals are safe despite their home in West Kelowna catching fire late Thursday night.

West Kelowna Fire Rescue were called to the 3100 block of Country Pines Way around midnight. Firefighters were able to contain the fire, however the house was severely damaged.

The three occupants and their two pets were home at the time but able to make it out safely. They are currently in the care of Emergency Support Services.

The cause of the fire is not yet known and investigators will be on scene today. It is not being considered suspicious at this time.
