Cops seize fake guns, drugs and cash in raid on downtown Kelowna home

A Kelowna woman is facing drug charges following a police raid yesterday on a home in downtown Kelowna.

RCMP seized suspected fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and heroin along with imitation firearms and drug paraphernalia while executing a search warrant at home in the 800 block of Harvey Avenue yesterday, Dec. 11, according to a media release.

Officers also seized cash, but RCMP are not saying how much. Police are also not releasing information about the quantity of drugs seized.

Kelowna RCMP Const. Solana Paré says the warrant was in relation to an active criminal investigation into suspected drug trafficking in the downtown core. No further details about the investigation were provided.

A 43-year-old Kelowna woman was arrested and has since been released from custody. She is expected to appear in court in the future on drug-related charges.
