Comedian Russell Peters to perform in Kelowna

KELOWNA – Get ready Kelowna, you gonna laugh real hard.

Russell Peters, the Canadian comic known for his hilarious takes on Indo-Canadian life and his catch phrase “You gonna get hurt real bad,” is coming to Prospera Place this fall.

He has appeared on countless T.V. shows over his 25 year career, including The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel, Craig Ferguson and Last Comic Standing. He also won a Gemini Award in 2008.

As part of his Almost Famous tour, Peter’s show will feature new material as well as his uncanny ability to improvise with the audience.

Peters is one of the first South Asians in comedy and was awarded the top comedian award by SAMMA in 2011.

He is currently one of the highest paid comedians working and was the first to sell out Toronto’s Air Canada Centre.

His debut comedy album Outsourced was recorded during a Comedy Central performance in August 2006.

Tickets go on sale in two weeks at prices ranging between $66.50 and $91.50. They can be purchased at the Prospera Place box office or online at www.selectyourtickets.com.
