Missing Quesnel man found dead in crashed vehicle in Kamloops

A Quesnel man who was reported missing on New Year's Day was located yesterday in Kamloops deceased in his crashed vehicle.

Malcolm McLaughlin was found yesterday, Jan. 5, in his vehicle on Tranquille Road in Kamloops, according to an RCMP news release.

Evidence suggests he was involved in a single vehicle collision and there is nothing suspicious regarding the crash, police say.

His dog, Chico, was found alive and uninjured and was taken to a local animal hospital until arrangements could be made to return the dog to McLaughlin’s family.

RCMP say the B.C. Coroners Service will conduct an investigation and no further information will be released.
