Richmond Randle running back and defensive lineman lead Texas 5A all-state football team

BRYAN, Texas (AP) — Richmond Randle running back Landen Williams-Callis and defensive lineman Chace Sims are the offensive and defensive players of the year on the 73rd annual Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association Class 5A all-state football team.

Williams-Callis rushed for 2,108 yards with 43 touchdowns. In two years, the sophomore has 4,052 yards with 66 touchdowns in helping Randle knock off Dallas South Oak Cliff for the 5A Division II state championship.

The 6-3, 305-pound Sims is headed to Texas A&M after finishing with 106 tackles, including 28 tackles for loss.
