Clark insists Liberal way is the only way
"WE HAVE A DUTY TO LOOK AFTER THOSE THAT LOOKED AFTER US"
At a birthday luncheon for the city's old timers Wednesday, it was only fitting that Christy Clark discuss healthcare, particularly overcrowding at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
"We're building what we were told the community needs," Clark says. "As the community needs more, as Vernon grows, as health care needs grow, we will of course continue to invest in health in this community, and we'll do that by growing the economy."
The NDP, she says, will do the opposite.
"We have a stark choice in this campaign," Clark says. "Todays B.C. Liberals and Eric Foster growing the economy, creating jobs, keeping taxes low, or the NDP which is out of control spending, raising taxes to pay for it, and sending our kids out of the province to go find work elsewhere. You can't pay for healthcare on an NDP plan like that."
She says Eric Foster is the man for the job in Vernon-Monashee.
"I am a big believer in Eric Foster. The difference between last time and this time is his record of accomplishment. He has delivered for the people of Vernon. To me he stands so tall above the rest," Clark says.
Clark attacked the NDP for not yet releasing their full platform. "People know where I stand, the NDP is still concealing what they want to do."
