Kamloops RCMP close street to execute search warrant
RCMP officers executing a search warrant at a home in Kamloops this morning have closed a city street to traffic.
Members of the detachment’s Crime Reduction Unit, along with “frontline” officers, raided a home in the 1800 block of Parkcrest Avenue at around 10 a.m. today, Feb. 19, according to an RCMP media release.
RCMP said it was part of an ongoing criminal investigation into stolen property.
Officers closed a section of Parkcrest Avenue near Laroque Street.
Police have asked the public to avoid the area until the road is reopened and fewer officers are on the scene.
RCMP said more information will be released to the public when it become available.
Anyone with information related to this is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
