
Woman arrested after teenager stabbed in Kamloops park
A woman was arrested after a teenager was found with a stab wound in a Kamloops park earlier this week.
Kamloops RCMP were called to McArthur Island Park about an assault with a weapon around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, March 5 and officers found an intoxicated teenager with a non-life-threatening stab wound, according to a press release from police.
The teenager was taken to hospital in an ambulance.
“While police were tending to the victim, another officer located a suspect in her 20s and arrested her,” Kamloops RCMP media liaison officer Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in the release. “She was held in cells until sober, then released with a court date and conditions.”
RCMP said charge recommendations are expected.
