Casting call for background extras in Ashcroft film project

A casting company is looking for background talent to play townspeople in a project being filmed in Ashcroft later this month.

Filming will take place on various dates starting next week, according to a Thompson-Nicola Film Commission news release. Those who are interested will be working in and around Ashcroft and playing the role of a townsperson in a small rural town.

BCF Casting says all ages and character looks are welcome.

Filming will take place on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, and from Feb. 3 to Feb. 7.

Filming days can vary length and can be up to 12 hours or more. The pay rate is between $14 to $15 per hour, with overtime after eight hours.

Extras will be required to attend a one to two hour paid costume fitting. Fittings will begin to take place by the end of this week.

Those who are interested in applying can create a profile on the BCF Casting call website by going here and must include the list of days they are available and must be eligible to work in Canada.
