UPDATE: Feb. 4, 2013 – 2:25 p.m.
The women who were struck while attempting to cross the road at Gordon Drive and Harvey Avenue at 6:35 a.m. remain in hospital and their injuries are listed as serious. They are 78 and 79-years-old.
No charges have been laid.

Feb. 4, 2013 – 10:17 a.m.
Two elderly women were rushed to hospital this morning after they were struck at the intersection of Gordon Drive and Harvey Avenue.
A member of the Kelowna RCMP came upon the crash at 6:35 a.m. The two women were suffering from injuries that were believed to be serious.
Traffic will be disrupted today until an analysis of the scene by Central Okanagan Traffic Services and a collision is finished.
